NHS new ear moulds for danalogic / zest / prisma / impact / nios / nathos hearing aids

"Hi, I have Resound BTE hearing aids which I was given through the NHS. The ear moulds
have been with them since new (about 8 years) and I would like to change them to the softer
silicone type.
Are you able to do the impressions and supply new  ear moulds?
What would be the approximate cost for them, and what would be the process?
Thanks a lot for your help."

ANSWER

"That's good. We do ear moulds for NHS users....
There are a lot of manufacturers of silicone moulds...
But you should get a pair of Starkey carved-out moulds shown here:
they are not cheap (£99 a set), but they are the best....
You'd just call or email us and we'll book you an appt. at Cleckheaton"

Specsavers Hearing Aids - how to get even better results - cheap repairs and parts at hearingaidparts.co.uk

"I have a pair of Specsavers BTE aids, marked as "634 W RIC". A while after having them fitted, a new audiologist at Specsavers recognised that I needed more power and they were retro fitted with new receivers (marked 2xP) and double power domes which measure 10mm and 12mm, with a small raised semi-open portion at the very tip.

Of course, the domes are now in need of replacement and the stock of wax guards is low. Whenever I visit my nearest Specsavers branch, they never have the domes in stock and mumble about getting the audiologist to sort an order next time he's in the branch.

So I'm wondering if you are able to identify exactly what I need and supply them, please - to save all the grief that I seem to get from Specsavers.

Many thanks"

ANSWER:
"hi, it is extremely likely that you're referring to the Phonak large power dome (about 11mm across). you can order these easily on this page:

If this pic looks familiar, we should be ok. The Specsavers 634 is a Phonak derivative aid

......there is also a page for wax guards - you need cerustops.

If you use our wipes, this will save you having to change both of these items".

"Please see the following photo and advise me the make of this hearing aid.

I need to replace the hearing tubes.  Please tell me if they are available"

"Hi, ok so it's a MATCH METRIX DIRECTIONAL. It'll need GN RESOUND THIN TUBE 2, and you can buy the tips as well... They are GN Resound thin tube domes.
Look at the existing tube - there should be a number near the tip.... you need to order the right size.... if you cannot see a number, then see our guidance at the top of the page....
The dome on the pic looks like a large / 10mm open dome.........."

Phonak drying capsules drying kit - Should all hearing aid wearers look after their hearing aids a little more? (posted by our Knaresborough Practice)

"just received six drying capsules with a date of 02 2017 on each does this mean you
cannot use them after this date and it says to take out the battery before drying your hearing aid why is this required every time you put them in the beaker"

"hello...
the date means that they should be sold by then... they will work as long as the crystals are a definite orange colour. they should be discarded when they go off-white colour. If the seal is intact until use there is no reason they shouldn't last a long time in storage.
~The batteries have a degree of moisture in them. You can leave the batteries in but they might lose a little life. Lots of users don't bother to remove the batteries...

Dear Sir/Madam,
Would it be possible to let me know if you can replace/repair the control panel on the back of my husband's phonak hearing aid we have tried looking for it but to no avail. It must have come off somewhere in the house, but its that tiny. Hope you can help.

All Siemens Ear Hooks available at our accessories website

There are close-up pictures of many ear hooks for behind-the-ear hearing aids

Cleaning mic ports in Oticon Hearing Aids (Patient in Bury with Ria2 Pro)

These hearing aids have won many design awards (that is the Intiga 2014 range, the Alta Nera and Ria Pro Design-RITEs 2015 and the Alta2 Nera2 Ria2 Pro Design RITEs).
The microphones are shielded from wind noise and hair-rustle by the back spine cover - the sound enters sideways through the gap shown here:

You need to clean out this cavity once every 6 months. It's easy. Insert your thumbnail into the side gap and gently prize the cover off...

Brush away any debris / dead skin collected on the aid or the cover. Gently clip it back in place, inserting the top part first. It'll click back into place,
